Can I upsell to my customers?

Yes, you can—through the Upsell Manager.

The Upsell Manager is used to promote a certain item when someone adds another item to their cart. For example, if someone orders a burger, you can suggest they add a drink to their order. 

To find the Upsell Manager:

1. Click Restaurant Manager on the black bar at the top of the page.

2. Under Marketing Settings click Upsell Manager.

From here you can select Auto-Upsell Enabled by clicking the box provided, then the green Save This Information button. 

This way the system will auto-suggest upsell items based on past orders. If enabled, when a customer has items in their cart, we will look at past orders which contained those items and suggest the other items which were also ordered in those orders.

Your other option is to choose custom upsells. Custom upsells will always take precedence over auto-suggestions. 

There are a few options for setting up custom upsells.

  1. When a customer purchases item X, suggest item Y. This means when your customer adds a specific item to their cart, say the Cheeseburger, the system will suggest they might also like a specific item, like a can of pop.
  2. When a customer purchases anything from category Z, suggest item X. This means when a customer adds any item from the designated category, the system will suggest a specific item.
  3. When a customer purchases anything, suggest item X. This means that whenever a customer checks out, regardless of what they have added to their cart, the system will suggest your desired item.
